  • Rater Status

    In an effort to run a site that facilitates active participation and learning, but also rewards those who contribute, Spicipe has introduced a new 'rater' system. When users navigate to their 'Profile' they will see a rating box in the bottom left corner. These are the elements users will be rated on. Over time, an aggregate number for each category will be shown here to produce your chef rating. Users with high ratings will be showcased on the main page of the site, so the incentive to contribute exists.

     

    Only users who have been given 'rater' privileges will be able to rate other users. In order to receive 'rater' privileges a chef must exhibit exemplary conduct with, and contributions to, the Spicipe community.

     

    Spicipe will either grant ‘Rater’ status or you may apply for it. When we recognize an outstanding contributor we will notify you that you have become a 'rater.' If you believe your contributions have earned you a spot as a 'rater,' but you have not yet been notified please feel free to email us here.

     

    Abuse of the rater system will not be tolerated, so rest assured that your positive contributions to this community will not go unnoticed or unjustly ignored.

     

    We hope that this system inspires a greater sense of community and drives high quality content and interaction to Spicipe. We don't want to be another recipe site; we want to be a community that inspires the culinarian in all of us, because at Spicipe, Everyone’s a Chef.
